A very special release from some storied producers in the heart of La Paz, Honduras. Marysabel and Moises are two producers who have done a lot to build the international reputation of coffees from Honduras. Marysabel herself comes from a heritage of coffee producers with her father Fabio Caballero being a true pioneer of specialty coffee in the region. 

Marysabel took over her father's farms in the early 2000s and together with her husband Moises went on to achieve great success and continue the legacy. Repeated high placings and a 1st place win in the 2016 COE, but this alone doesn't portray how influential these two have been. More than just competition achievements they have produced incredible consistent lots on a large scale for years. Operating on over 300 hectares of land over multiple farms, with an emphasis on quality, terroir and sustainability. 

Years of experimentation and research with dedication to details and a willingness to improve. Disregarding past achievements and always adapting to ever changing conditions. While known for their Catuai, Moises and Marysabel run a nursery with over 50 varieties. 

The Anacafe 14 is a more rare variety originating from Guatemala (Moises' homeland) a fitting combination for this couple in Honduras. The cherries are hand picked and sorted by local pickers. Dried slowly on raised beds covered with shade nets. These beds are set up by their house in Marcala where the climate is drier than at the wet mill which is located higher up in the mountains. The coffees are raked throughout the day to ensure even drying. At night covered to prevent condensation and the risk of the coffee gaining moisture in the drying process. Once the coffees are dried, they are stored in air tight grain pro bags before the they're milled and packed in vacuum packs.
