Covering more than 190 hectares of coffee cultivation, the estate sits at 1,740 metres above sea level on rich red volcanic soils. Combined with two distinct rainy seasons each year, these conditions create an ideal environment for producing high-quality Kenyan coffees.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCoffee cherries are selectively hand-picked and delivered to the estate's wet mill, where they are carefully sorted before processing. The cherries are pulped shortly after harvest, with close attention paid to every stage of fermentation and washing to preserve quality and clarity in the cup. The coffee is then dried on raised beds using natural heat until it reaches a stable moisture content of 10–11%, ensuring both consistency and longevity.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRuera Factory is also an important employer within the local community, providing work for hundreds of people throughout the harvest season and supporting more than 1,000 livelihoods across the coffee production chain.
